Adam Najberg was a journalist for 25 years — 21 of them at Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal as a foreign correspondent and editor in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. While at the WSJ, he worked as a writer, director, and producer on two feature-length documentaries, The End of Wall Street and Inside the Bernie Madoff Scandal, and was executive producer of the short film City of Dreams, about the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong. He began his career as a radio reporter for ICRT in Taiwan and a regular contributor to Marketplace on American Public Radio, worked at The Associated Press, and has had bylines in more than a dozen publications, including Barron’s, The Indianapolis News, Newsweek on Campus, The Worcester Telegram & Gazette, and The Denver Post. He and his teams have won multiple awards for their work, including several South Asia Publishers’ awards, a Webby, and a SABEW. He’s the author of two works of fiction.

Faith Kohler is a filmmaker and visual artist whose practice focuses on critical social issues. A licensed attorney and former federal agent, Faith began filming her first feature-length documentary, 30 Seconds Away: Breaking the Cycle, while working in law enforcement. The film, which premiered at the Milwaukee Film Festival in 2015, told the story of chronic homelessness, exploring its complexities through its relationship to the justice system. Following her work in law enforcement, Faith worked for a multinational corporation based in Milwaukee before relocating to Miami, Florida. Throughout her career Faith has been nationally recognized for her work in violence prevention, and her advocacy efforts to alleviate homelessness have made her a frequent panelist and guest speaker at conferences and schools.

John W. Miller is a global journalist and filmmaker with two decades of experience reporting from six continents and over 40 countries. As a staff reporter and foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, he covered elections, global trade, economics and shipping, and multinational corporations from ArcelorMittal to Glencore, as well as big events like the World Cup and Tour de France. He wrote over 60 stories for the Journal’s front page and won awards from the National Press Foundation and German Marshall Fund. Miller has also contributed to Time, America Magazine, and NPR, and serves as Chief Economic Analyst of Trade Data Monitor. He is co-director of Moundsville, a feature documentary about a classic American industrial town, which launched on PBS in 2020. Miller is from Brussels and holds Belgian and U.S. passports.

Colin Sytsma owns and operates Wood Grain Media, a documentary film company with a focus on cinema vérité. He has been an award-winning documentarian for the past decade and a gifted storyteller for far longer. A native of Milwaukee, he worked on the Emmy-nominated documentary As Goes Janesville, produced Wisconsin’s Mining Standoff for Al Jazeera English’s Fault Lines, and co-directed the feature-length documentary From Mass to the Mountain on drought and deforestation in Panama. Apart from his cinematography on Out of Reach, he is also the director of photography on When Claude Got Shot, an ITVS production documenting gun violence in Milwaukee. In 2018 he received a Brico Forward Fund award from the Milwaukee Film Festival to finish his Stolen Apes film, which won awards in Ireland and Croatia. Colin was also a cinematographer on Messwood, a film about a combined high school football team between two largely segregated neighborhoods.

Luis Zerón has edited series for Netflix and HBO, feature films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. Based in Mexico City, he is a member of AMAE (the Spanish association of editors). Luis was Lead Editor for the series Oscuro Deseo, the greatest release ever of a non-English series on Netflix. He has also worked as Lead Editor and Editor on projects like Yankee (2019) and Ingobernable 2 (2018), both produced by Netflix and Argos; El Chapo (2017, seasons 1 and 2) for Netflix and Story House; and Sr. Ávila (2016, seasons 2 and 3), an International Emmy® Award winner produced by HBO and Lemon Films. He has an MFA from Maine Media College, a master’s degree in film editing from ESCAC Barcelona, and a BA in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. He also teaches editing at Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City and is an instructor at Maine Media Workshops+College.

Kelsey Hubbard is an experienced TV anchor/reporter and digital broadcast innovator with diverse experience acquired at high-profile media organizations, including The Wall Street Journal, BBC Capital, and the News 12 Networks. As part of the morning anchor team at News 12 CT, Kelsey co-anchored the 5:00–7:00am live broadcast and solo-anchored the 8:00am and 10:00am daily news shows. At BBC Capital in New York, she created and developed the 90 Second Financial Fix, an original personal finance video series, as part of their global website launch. Kelsey was also one of the first solo anchors for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, where she anchored live daily news programs such as Lunch Break and The News Hub. Her experience also includes WABC-TV, ABC News Now, Businessweek TV, and CNNfn. Kelsey lives in Ridgefield, CT with her husband and two children. She graduated from Trinity College and received a Certificate in News Productions and Broadcasting from NYU.

Justin Goodrum is the founder of Milwaukee-based Good Entertainment, a multimedia production company that creates and develops original content for television, film, emerging technologies, and digital networks. He has produced and directed content for NBC, the Milwaukee County Election Commission, the Milwaukee Health Department, Young Enterprising Society, and other Milwaukee organizations, and his work has been published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A growing leader in the Milwaukee film space, he worked at 371 Productions as a production assistant on the feature-length documentary When Claude Got Shot, which was selected for the 2021 South by Southwest film festival.

Amy Bloom is a skilled project manager and “ringleader” known for her passion and expertise in mobilizing and empowering professionals and volunteers. She brings over two decades of experience producing events, growing memberships, cultivating donors, soliciting corporate sponsorships, and building community networks, and has provided her services to over 100 businesses nationwide. As Executive Director for the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Miami Section, Amy led its reboot, increasing engagement by 1000% and fundraising by over 150%. Her consulting business, Amy Bloom Inc., leads programming, marketing, communications, and membership goals for the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The OOR team is grateful that she turned the rabble into a well-oiled machine.

John “Tripper” Donnelly is a graduate student in history at Marquette, with a special interest in public history. Tripper blogs for us and runs our social media accounts. Born in Boston, MA, he lives in the town of Marion, MA. His hobbies include the ever-popular blacksmithing, sports shooting, and learning about new things.

Sam Wassermann is a student at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, majoring in filmmaking. He’s good behind and in front of the camera and enjoys watching and playing soccer. Sam is our voice on social media and does behind-the-scenes work on set.

Tyler Raxter is a technical writer who blends academic research within his personal narrative. His master’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas has a focus in early American literature. Born in Detroit, MI, he now resides in Dallas, TX.
